Imagine someone digging out your tooth with a nail or knife. In South Sudan, you don’t have to imagine. It is a reality. There are no dentists in South Sudan. In fact many Sudanese people do not know what the word means. Many suffer silently from dental problems and in severe cases die trying to dig out a troublesome tooth using crude objects such as rusty nails. |

(hurry) It is time!” No one wants to be left behind. The children come by the hundreds; some of them carrying maize, millet, and other grains as form of payment. Nobody is turned away. |
