Christian Mission Aid’s Christian Outreach program seeks to reach un-reached people groups in Kenya, Uganda and Sudan with the Gospel. Under this program we also plant churches. In these remote areas services are held under trees or in the open air.
When it rains, it means there will be no church that day. When the sun is scorching hot, congregants move around looking for shade, thus disrupting the service. This has been the norm for the congregants of many churches in rural areas of Sudan, Kenya and Uganda. A permanent church building will motivate the people to attend church and bring in more people from the community to know about God. Congregations spend many years raising funds to put up a church building. For some, their contributions include chicken, corn on the cob, mangoes and anything they can afford. This is a great and noble effort for these poor people but even after the sale of these items, the money is hardly enough to start a foundation. Can these zealous believers count on you to partner with them to build a permanent church structure, this Christmas which costs $18,000, so they can worship together the God they have come to love so dearly? |
